There has been a huge noise regarding the bedbugs/flea and substandard of cleanliness in the Crown Plaza Shanghai. Your exco did stay in the hotel on 23rd Sept 17 and had met with the hotel representatives in person.
During the meeting, they have mentioned that ISD management did send the representative to the new PVG hotel on 18th Sept 17 to follow up, after they have received our member's complaints about the bedbugs/flea found in the rooms. They have done the PEST CONTROL on the floors we are staying which is 15-17/F.
According to the Director of Sales, since a few days ago, the supervisor and the General Manager will have a thorough check on our rooms whenever the cleaner has completed the cleaning. As to make sure it has achieved the cleanliness' standard.
The Crown Plaza Shanghai will have a large scale Room Inspection between the end of September and October. They will see if there is any room which needs a big renovation no matter the hardware or software. They claimed that they really care about our company a lot and take our complaints seriously. Hence, the hotel has already purchased a brand new bath curtain for all the rooms we stay. However, due to the shipping schedule, it will be only effective from October or November.
Regarding the hotel premises itself, it has 2 towers which are - Yin Xing Tower (currently staying) and Jin Jue Tower. The Jin Jue Tower has been built for 10 years already. Your exco did request whether crew members can stay in a different tower for our accommodation temporarily until the cleanliness standard is improved, unfortunately, the hotel claimed that it is mostly for the corporate clients. Besides that, they don't have enough room due to the high occupancy rate.
The most important are the Yin Xing Tower that we are staying has both Deluxe and Superior Room as crew accommodation, while for Jue Tower they only have a Club Room which is Standard One.
Your exco has urged the hotel to send their supervisors or managers while our crew is doing check out, in order to collect more feedback & data.
Your exco will keep monitoring the PVG hotel issue. We strongly advise all of you to report any abnormality via email "email@example.com" and "My Crew Care" on Dragonet to let company knows the problem. FA1 shall be well informed and write down on the report accordingly.
